First and foremost, I would like to thank my editor, Alan Petrillo, and his wife, Gayle Petrillo, who encouraged and helped me to create this book, to Charlyn Samson, my book designer, and Angela Hoy, my publisher at BookLocker�com, Inc� I met Alan at a fundraiser for which I made at least two different kinds of soup� Alan asked the host, “Who made the soup?” Kathy then introduced us� He was incredibly kind, complimentary and inquisitive� Since that moment Alan has offered continued encouragement and support� Next, I’d like to thank my husband, Scott, who was my sous chef, taster, photographer, and cheerleader� My mother has been a rock in her support, and told me many times to not give up� Along the way, there are many friends who contributed to recipes and who also tasted, and gave me feedback� My two kids have sampled many of these soups over the years, happily given constructive criticism and even some positive comments, all while growing up eating probably way too much soup!
